Like a broken record...

Every journal I write seems to be me apologising for being awful at updating, and disappearing, and that I plan to be back. I try. I'm just kind of awful. And I'm sorry. :/

Now that's out of the way, the reason for my absence is slightly more acceptable this time (or at least I think so). 

I got myself a job at a magazine publishing house as a sub editor (call it a dream come true for a just-out-of-uni graduate). It means I spend my whole work day reading and concentrating which is awesome, I just haven't quite found the time to balance that with reading the books I want to and writing the fics or personal stuff I want to yet.

My new job also meant that I had to move to the other side of the country (I'm English, so fortunately that's only about 3 and a half hours from home, but still it's a long way from family and friends). So I've now got myself my own flat (and my own bills, yikes).. Basically I've not only been sorting out a new job and managing that, but I've been sorting out a new life... So that's fun (it can also bring out my anxiety, but I'm working on that)...

In other news I've been managing a healthier lifestyle and have dropped 44lbs (3st 2lbs), the nutritional diet and exercise way, and I'm feeling great. :) 

Currently in Spain on holiday right now, so I'm chilling out for a bit.

Hoping to find the balance soon,

Yep, I'm a horrible person.

I've been away for about a year and I feel horrible. Please don’t hate me.

I’ve had a manic year.

I finished uni, managed to get myself a 2:1 (who knows how, eh?). I'm now 22... somehow that feels so much older than 21...

I quit my last job because.. well, retail lol. I now have two jobs, one at a National Trust Property where I periodically get to dress up as a Tudor Lady and have also learnt the true meaning of cold. My other job is as a proofreader (I’m better with other people’s work than I am with my own, I promise lol).

I’m also having a major lifestyle change - as in, I decided I’m going to stop eating everything and being a couch potato - because I got fat and lazy this year and I’m sorting that out.. Lost 13.5lbs so far. :)

So yeah, I know none of that excuses me being away, but they’re the reasons I’ve been kept away. I’m planning to get back into the swing of things as soon as possible and I think I’ve figured out a way to do that.

I've set up a Twitter account specifically for you readers here and on Fanfiction.net to talk to me, yell at me, basically, kick my arse into gear. Sometimes I need a reminder of just how much you guys mean to me, and how much I owe it to you all to continue my fics (without month-long/year-long gaps between updates). So if you feel like giving me a hand and helping to keep me in line, even just to let me know that you want a specific fic updated, talk to me on twitter.com/pomegranatefics :)

Soooooo, it's my 21st birthday today. :)

 

I've been busy making my own birthday cake with my brand new mixer! :D So much love for this (I've been on a baking spree recently).

Honestly, I don't know.

 

Work, uni, friends, love life, global take over...

 

Okay, maybe not the last bit, but I've been busy.

 

However, I'm determined. I'm back and I'm going to be keeping up with my writing.... I hope.

If I've missed anything you think I should know about, please lemme know guys.

 

In other news, I went to see Thor 2 at a midnight showing yesterday. Loved it (apart from one major heart attack...)

Hiatus

So, I thought I'd let you all know that I'm on a brief hiatus. Revising for a three hour Victorian Literature exam in which I have to remember quotes/virtually the whole texts, of five novels and long poems is taking it's toll on me...

Sorry guys, real life is kicking my arse right now. I will be back after my exam on the 24th to continue my stories and what not...
